The Vice President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Milan Petković, said that today's arrest of Nebojša Vukanović in Trebinje should not be politicized.
Petković told reporters in Banja Luka that Vukanović was not detained as an MP and that he should give a statement to the police as a citizen.
The head of the Club of SDS deputies in the National Assembly, Miladin Stanić, stated that "if Vukanović remains in custody, the government will face riots".
Nebojša Vukanović, SDS MP in the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, was detained today in Trebinje for violations committed under the Law on Public Order and Peace of the Republic of Srpska.
