While the real chaos is happening in Krajina, which culminated in today's arson of the "Lipa" camp, the Minister of Security of B&H, Selmo Cikotić is writing letters from Sarajevo.

"The Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina" in order to resolve the migrant situation in the Una-Sana Canton sent a request to the authorities of that canton and the City of Bihać for the temporary opening of 'Bira' which would accommodate migrants from the Temporary Reception Center 'Lipa' "- it is stated in the announcement.

In that way, as they claim, the Ministry "uses all available resources and makes maximum efforts to prevent humanitarian, epidemiological and other consequences if more than a thousand migrants from 'Lipa' end up without any accommodation on the streets of Una-Sana Canton."

In a letter sent by B&H Security Minister Selmo Cikotić to Deputy Chairman of the USC Assembly Razim Halkić, USC Prime Minister Mustafa Ružnić and Bihać's Mayor Šuhret Fazlić it is said that "the Ministry has drawn up a plan to relocate temporary reception centers for migrants from urban and populated areas. “

- The plan is to build a reception center for migrants at the "Lipa" location, for which the Council of Ministers of B&H has secured funds in the amount of 5,000,000 KM, 500,000 euros from the European Commission, while several embassies have promised concrete help in equipping the center. However, according to estimates, the works could be completed by the end of April next year, and until then, the use of "Bira" has been proposed as an alternative center – they say from the Ministry of Security.

Minister Cikotić stated in the letter that he "understands the dissatisfaction and distrust of the citizens and institutions of Bihac and the USC due to some earlier unfulfilled promises in resolving the migrant crisis."

- However, in the new situation, it is expected that all USC and Bihać government officials will take an active role in implementing the decisions of the B&H Presidency, the B&H Council of Ministers and the B&H Ministry of Security in the best interest of the USC. It was especially emphasized that after equipping and opening "Lipa", the camp "Bira" would be permanently and finally closed - it is stated in the announcement.
