The president of the Savez za bolju budućnost BiH Fahrudin Radončić, spoke tonight at the pre-election rally in Donji Vakuf. Radončić called on the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, to help the people in a difficult economic situation.
- The current government at the state level, composed of three national parties and the DF, as well as Prime Minister Novalić, in times of corona and now in a severe energy, financial and inflationary crisis, show absolute disregard for citizens and the economy. In particular, the Administration for Indirect Taxation of BiH announced the encouraging data that in the first eight months of the current year, it earned as much as 6 billion and 436 million KM, i.e. 20 percent more compared to the same period last year, when payments amounted to 5 billion and 363 million KM . Entity revenues will be 20 percent higher when that money is divided between them and the Brčko District - said Radončić.

<h2>Set aside a billion to survive the winter</h2>

At the same time, the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that in the period January-August 2022, taxpayers paid 4,189,215 KM of public revenue, which is 546,236 KM more than the same period in 2021, or a large increase of 15 percent.
- From this it follows that citizens and the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina increased their payments this year by as much as 1,619,236 KM. That is why citizens must know that there is more money than ever, as well as more irresponsibility towards the people than ever before. That's why the Savez za bolju budućnost BiH demands that Fadil Novalić urgently takes out one billion KM of free funds from his budget straw bag and pass them on to distressed citizens and businesses so that they can survive the winter, overpriced and missing energy sources,and to bear huge inflation a little easier - said Radončić.

The leader of Savez za bolju budućnost BiH emphasized that Novalić must urgently, starting next week, propose a solution that by the end of the year, the Government of FBiH pays at least 100 KM to each recipient of the minimum pension or to issue a voucher in the amount of 100 KM per month to facilitate the payment of utilities expenses.
- If it is known that there are 300,000 pensioners, this package would amount to less than 100 million KM. Also, the harmonization of all other pensions in the Federation is inevitable, for which there is undoubtedly more than enough money. Citizens would also be helped if, in the absence of the will to abolish excise duty on fuel, the same is subsidized with 30 million marks per month, which amounts to at least 90 to 100 million KM by the New Year, thus reducing its price to the end consumer. It is necessary to ensure at least 200 marks per month of long-term assistance for 150 thousand unemployed persons, which in total amounts to about 100 million marks by the end of this year - said Radončić.

In a catastrophic economic crisis, the FBiH Government must pay special attention to relieving the economy, we are among the first in the infamous record of burdening the economy with various duties and parafiscal levies.
- In the entire package of economic aid, all financially discriminated civil servants must finally receive adequate treatment, regardless of whether they are our impoverished policemen, educators, miners or people employed in the private sector - Radončić told the gathered citizens.

Radončić said that the new government must make it possible for the minimum pension to be 1.000 KM, and that the incomes of other pensioners and employees in the private and public sector must grow, at least with the growth of the inflation rate.
- To conclude, if the government took more than 1.6 billion KM from the citizens and the economy in eight months, in the next three months, i.e. in October, November and December of this year, that is, until January 1st, 2023, it must return to the people and economy at least one billion - said the leader of Savez za bolju budućnost BiH.
At the end of the meeting, Radončić tasked the ministers from SBB to formalize these requests and put them on the agenda at the next session, for consideration and urgent adoption.

Citizens’ trust in the ability of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s judiciary system to tackle corruption is at an all-time low. The public’s perception of the level of accountability of public officials, of judicial impartiality, and of the conduct of judges and prosecutors has also deteriorated significantly in the past year.

Some prosecutors and judges even acknowledge that they are part of the problem, believe that their own profession is highly susceptible to bribery, and see the system as compromised by political influence and corruption.
In short, BiH’s judicial system is not working, and citizens – and the judiciary – know it.
These statements are backed up by data contained in the U.S. government’s most recent Judicial Effectiveness Index for BiH (JEI-BiH), a survey conducted annually by the United States in partnership with the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) designed to monitor and evaluate judicial performance.
The United States and other friends of BiH fund programs in the judicial sector because significant change is needed to achieve an acceptable level of respect for the rule of law. But our funding is not indefinite. We must see progress and a commitment by the HJPC, judges, and prosecutors to reform. That means the judiciary must prosecute corrupt actors. Before it can do that, however, it must clean its own house.
I am not satisfied. Indeed, no one should be satisfied when the most corrupt are free and when those in power are untouchable at the expense of ordinary citizens.
A fair and independent judiciary is essential to any democratic system of government. It ensures accountability, equality, and access to justice for all. Respect for the rule of law reassures citizens that all rights are respected and protected. It also empowers them to make a positive contribution to the economy and society.

The issues that matter most to BiH citizens – good jobs, good schools, reliable health care, and rule of law – are often ignored by corrupt leaders. This is a prime reason people are leaving this beautiful country.

Stability in BiH requires public confidence in the institutions charged with enforcing its laws, especially the criminal justice system. Enforcing the law is not about political affiliations, personal interests, or retribution. An independent judiciary must be free of undue influence for BiH to have the rule of law – which means absolutely no one is above the law and everyone is equal under it.
Yet many judges and prosecutors follow the path of least resistance, self-censoring their work and opting to process simpler cases to avoid controversial work because the system rewards quantity, not quality. This results in near total impunity for corrupt people in power, the so-called “big fish” who commit high-level corruption and organized crimes.
Prosecutors have tremendous power to bring criminal charges against those who break the law. And here I want to be clear: Some BiH prosecutors have been bold and brave in prosecuting corruption. Their efforts should be commended. We value individuals with high personal integrity and a sense of moral responsibility to discharge their duty as prosecutors. They understand that they, as public servants, have been entrusted with the important role of fighting corruption. The U.S. government stands firmly behind these individuals.
But the HJPC, court presidents, and chief prosecutors too often have neither resourced nor protected those who aggressively prosecute powerful public officials who abuse the law for personal and political gain.

At the initiative of opposition parties from both entities, and despite resistance from SNSD and HDZ BiH, the BiH Parliament for the first time ever formed a committee to investigate the judicial system in May 2020. The committee interviewed numerous witnesses, primarily judges and prosecutors, who confirmed in their own words the findings of the United States’ JEI-BiH survey.

The committee report, published in June 2022, pinpointed the weaknesses that directly affected the efficiency of the judicial system: political influence and corruption. The report is particularly valuable because it was agreed to unanimously by committee members from across the political spectrum.

<h2>Supporting BiH Citizens to Create a Brighter Future</h2>

The U.S. government is committed to working with judges and prosecutors who champion fair, equal, transparent justice and are committed to stopping and prosecuting corrupt actors. We strive to improve the performance, transparency, and responsiveness of judicial institutions in dealing with corruption and economic crimes cases and build their capacity to resist improper external influences. We do this for the citizens – and local officials should too.

The HJPC and the judiciary should take immediate action to change the performance evaluation system for judges and prosecutors, so they are incentivized to work on cases of high-level corruption. They must make the career advancement criteria transparent and objective.
The HJPC must root out corruption within its own ranks. Anti-corruption champions exist throughout the judiciary, but their effectiveness is hampered due to undue political interference.
Finally, the executive branch of government needs to ensure adequate resources for the prosecution of high-level corruption cases and improve coordination between law enforcement agencies to expedite the process.
The people of this country deserve a judicial system that works for all, not just the few.
I want to be perfectly clear: the U.S. government will stand with citizens fighting for respect for the rule of law, and with those courageous individuals genuinely trying to improve the lives of all the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina.&nbsp;&nbsp;

What do I want to say? 25 years ago, the late Alija was a wiser, smarter and greater statesman than those who now boast of continuing his work, and there is no progress or success for us Bosniaks if they turn us against the West. No one can make Talibas of our children so that we hate Western civilization. Thanks to America, the EU, and other countries, the second, third, and God forbid, planned genocide was stopped. We have to talk about these things because their campaign is based on who is considered good and who is considered bad Muslim.
We want a pro-Western, secular state in which we will preserve our Bosniakism and our autochthonous Islam. We want a country that will not be managed by Belgrade, Zagreb, or Istanbul, and we think that candidate Denis Bećirović is exactly the kind of person who will make this possible.
I won't take more of your time, there are too many of us on this side. You had Mr. Bakir as a member of the Presidency for eight years, Mr. Komšić for 12, that's 20. You had Ficus for four years, that's 24 years. So if in 24 years they are not able to open a serious European or Western door, to bring in a big investor, to build highways, what are they lying to us about and telling us for sure.
Who stopped us, there was neither Vučić nor Dodik, to build the highway Sarajevo-Bihać, Sarajevo-Tuzla, to build transversals. We were stopped by those who are looking for our vote and who deceived us on all occasions, such as the City Council, and in the end they apologized to Mr. Nikšić and me on television. Don't apologize to Radončić or Nikšić, apologize to your people, the victims of genocide. You should apologize to them, and ypu again ask them to vote for you.
So, dear brothers and sisters, we are entering a historical battle and a battle of what Bosnia and Herzegovina will look like. When the water is cloudy, let's go back to the source.
We are leading Bosnia and Herzegovina to where we have always belonged, to the family of European nations, and we are preserving our authentic national, religious and multi-ethnic features of the state.
Denis is a man who will not create conflicts, who will not create agreed conflicts with Dodik and Čović, but will be upright, and I was a delegate in the House of Peoples and I worked with him for at least a year, knowing that he leads this country honestly and correctly.

The same Football Association led by the notorious Vico Zeljković, the cousin of Milorad Dodik, who is „a son“ of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
Russia's brutal aggression against Ukraine provoked a unique and decisive reaction from the civilized world. Almost all Western countries have unquestioningly imposed sanctions on Russia and are arming Ukraine to the teeth, which is fighting against a superior aggressor. In the name of solidarity with the Ukrainians, the citizens of Western countries overwhelmingly support such measures, aware that they will have to bear the economic consequences and have an uncertain winter due to a possible lack of Russian gas. There are things that are bigger and more important to honorable people than money.
Russia has been kicked out of most sports federations. FIFA and UEFA expelled the Russian national team and clubs from all competitions.
But that didn't stop the miserable people from the Football Association from making the decision that Bosnia and Herzegovina should be the one to honor the sanctioned and isolated Russia with an international match. On their field.
And while Russian cannons and tanks soak Ukrainian cities with human blood, BiH young men will have to soak their jerseys with sweat in the aggressor state. Of course, it is certain that most of our best football players will be banned from traveling to Russia by their clubs. Just as it is certain that this scandalous move by the Football Association will resonate with the world public, and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be further and deeply compromised in the eyes of the civilized world. In a situation where, due to the multi-year disastrous policy of incompetent leaders, the reputation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the West is at a historic low, to cause such damage to the state and create a world scandal for it, to place it on the side of aggressors and evil, is a move equal to a national treason.
So remember the following names well: Vico Zeljković, Ivan Beus, Miloš Brkić, Dragan Soldo and Fuad Čolpa.
With the honorable exception of Irfan Durić, these scoundrels decided to create an unprecedented international scandal for Bosnia and Herzegovina and permanently tarnish the reputation of our country. They deserve to have their names forever engraved on the pillar of shame.
Finally, BiH citizens and the general public must raise their voices and oppose this attempt to bring civilizational shame to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is you who are and will be the biggest obstacle to that. That is why we should not give them that opportunity".
Let's be honest and factual. Only thanks to the Western countries, the USA, Great Britain, Germany, France and other EU and NATO countries, the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina was stopped - said Radončić and added:
- Not to mention how many hundreds of billions of taxpayers' and investors' money Western countries have invested and continue to invest in our country. Today, after all, Erdoğan boasted that Turkey employs 10,000 people in Serbia. The data in Bosnia and Herzegovina are very modest in this respect and are not adequate to the political influence of Turkey in our country. A special question is how it is that Erdoğan did not highlight, for example, Milorad Dodik's separatist policy as the main threat to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosniaks and Muslims, but Western countries. Erdoğan can favor his friends in the elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but he must not turn our entire nation and religion against the West - said Radončić to the gathered citizens.

The President of Savez za bolju budućnost BiH warned that it would be a Russian and anti-civilizational train in which Bosniaks and Bosnia and Herzegovina must not be.
- President Erdoğan's words carry a lot of weight among Bosniaks. But, precisely because of that, it implies his maximum statesmanship and fraternal responsibility towards where he is pushing the Bosniaks and what consequences could arise if they really obeyed him. And I'm sure they won't! Let's not forget, most of our refugee people are located, work and live in Western countries. That's why - if he sincerely wants to help - let Erdoğan finally increase Turkish investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We should respect great Turkey and want it as a strategic partner. But we need to tie our future and the future of our children to Western countries and Western civilization, preserving our state sovereignty as a multinational state and unhindered strengthening our national and religious identity - emphasized Radončić.

The President said that no one has ever won a battle against the entire West, so why and for whom should a small number of Bosniaks fight it, globally?
- Our future depends mostly on ourselves and our wisdom, but also on the protection provided by Western countries. That is why it is normal to ask the respected President of Turkey not to disavow our people and push them into pre-lost, anachronistic and really unnecessary battles and strategically wrong choice of international partners. After all, even the richest and most numerous Islamic countries, such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Pakistan and many others, do not see the West as mortal enemies, but as a strategic partner in the economy, development and a more peaceful planet Earth - said Radončić.
In the end, Radončić pointed out that the Bosniak political factor will choose a pro-Western policy and its Euro-Atlantic path, instead of being a neo-Ottoman colonial pendant.

Britain’s Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has won the Tory leadership race, the Conservative Party’s 1922 Committee announced on Monday.

Truss, 46, received votes from 81,326 of the party members, whereas her rival contender Rishi Sunak received 60,399 votes, the committee chairman Sir Graham Brady announced.
Truss will replace Boris Johnson as the country’s new prime minister and she is to become the third female prime minister of the UK after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia, respectively, starting from Tuesday, Türkiye's Communications Directorate said on Monday.

The Reforming the EU Fiscal Framework: Strengthening the Fiscal Rules and Institutions report, released on Monday, stressed that deficits and debt ratios threaten monetary stability in the union.
The IMF proposed "a new framework based on risk-based EU-level fiscal rules, strengthened national institutions, and an EU fiscal capacity."
On the reference values of 3 percent deficit and 60 perent debt ratio for EU countries, the IMF said these values would remain.
- Establishing a well-designed EU fiscal capacity would enhance resilience and address longer-term challenges facing the EU - it added.

Germany will keep the country’s last two nuclear plants on standby until next April due to the worsening energy crisis, the government announced on Monday.
