Director of the European External Action Service (EEAS) Angelina Eichhorst and the United States Special Envoy for Electoral Reform Matthew Palmer are on a joint visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina until October 30.

This joint visit is part of the ongoing efforts of the European Union and the United States in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a focus on constitutional and electoral reform needed for the country to make a decisive step forward on its EU path.

A joint press conference by Director Eichhorst and Special Envoy Palmer has been announced for Friday, October 29 at the EU House.

Palmer is coming to Sarajevo for the second time since he was appointed to this position and a new round of talks on electoral reform with the leaders of the position parties, but also the opposition leaders in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

However, on the eve of his arrival in Sarajevo, Palmer was in Zagreb, where he said that it would be difficult to reach an agreement on changes in the competencies of the House of Peoples of the B&H Parliamentary Assembly and the FB&H Parliament and that electoral reform should focus on the electoral model for the election of three members of the B&H Presidency.
