Some airlines intend to introduce covid passports as a condition for travel, world media report. A covid passport with a vaccination certificate should supposedly be a guarantee that citizens are not contagious, although, in practice, those who have been vaccinated can also get sick.

The International Air Transport Association considers that vaccination will trigger a recovery in tourism, while domestic carriers do not share that view. Some believe that instead of increasing it, it could lead to a decrease in the number of passengers.

Director of Transturist Tuzla Nedžad Siočić believes that the additional introduction of a covid passport would only represent an additional burden, reducing the number of passengers who would be willing to travel.

One of the leading carriers from Tuzla, which transported passengers to European countries and Turkey, retained only 15 percent of the lines.

Freight transport did not suffer such consequences of the introduced coronavirus protection measures. They operated normally, without special restrictions and are not at loss. It is uncertain what would happen if, for example, other countries introduce covid passports, and drivers from BiH do not have the opportunity to be vaccinated or do not want to receive it.

However, the owner of one of the largest international transport companies from Tuzla, which transports food, is optimistic.

Director of Kuna from Tuzla, Nijaz Duraković, believes that he will find a solution when that moment comes. He added that he, as an employer, will not condition workers with vaccinations.
