Our legendary football expert, Vahid Halilhodžić (68), after the last failures of the B&H national team, stated in an exclusive interview for "Dnevni avaz" that he is afraid for bh. football.

-Of course I watched the last matches of our national team, although it is sometimes difficult to watch, said the popular Vaha, who is currently on a short vacation in Marrakesh, and added:

 - I have been afraid for a long time, not only for Bosnia and Herzegovina football, but also for the country. The situation in football depends on the situation in country. Unfortunately, football cannot be separated from troubles in society, because this is a very complicated matter. Everything that is being done in our country is absurd. Regardless of the fact that all cards are open, everyone knows who wants what, but everything still continues. I don't know, the situation in football is more or less difficult everywhere, especially because of the coronavirus and all this what is happening in the society, and on top of that we have additional problems.- 

Therefore, it is no wonder that defeats are perceived tragically. 

-This is normal, people all around the world are a bit frustrated, and that's why they expect of football and sport in general expect at least a little relaxation, joy, happiness... And then an additional, even bigger disappointment comes from the field, so in the end it is multiplied in various ways – says bh. expert.

The selector of the Moroccan national team is most worried about the very fast spending of former aces, and today successful coaches.

- I am aware of everything , this is my country, I was born here and I will die here. However, we always have the same wrongdoer and that's the coach, respectively, the selector. We spend our great footballers too fast, "yesterday" it was the case with Faruk, Bako, Pape, Meša, and today is Duško (Bajević). Before him was Robi. These are football greats, and we spend them for two or three games. They were far better players than all those who play today. And it's like, they don't know anything, they have no idea ... That annoys me. And no one mentions how much effort players give on the field or the effort of management that runs it all. In order for a national team to achieve good results, first of all one must create that environment, to have some joy in all of that. No,in our case they constantly say that we have no idea, and he (Bajević) spent so many years in football, both as a player and as a coach. The coach is always only one to blame. I can only imagine how all those greats of ours who celebrated bh football feel, and after two or three games they were declared ignorant - emphasizes Vaha. 

Right path 

Halilhodžić, as he says, is in great pain. 

No one dares to say to the players: "This is not good", or to the members of the management, that is, to the leadership of the Association: "Gentlemen, what are you doing?". Therefore, we need a deeper analysis if we want our football to move forward again one day. Everyone should ask themselves well and sweep in front of their door. Whose fault is it that we fall like that, from the first to the fourth hat. We have talent, and why do we have such results, I repeat needs deeper analysis. However, when I watch the matches of our national team, it seems to me that there is no joy, no sharpness, no charge, no national pride ... Do all those guys that I really don't best play for our national team out of necessity, that is, what do they feel when they wear that jersey? There are a lot of things that need to be well thought and analyzed. The easiest thing anyone can do is to criticize, but you need to know how to find the right path or arguments to get out of this situation, which is currently very difficult - concluded Halilhodžić. 

Bajević came here to help

Today, the Executive Board of Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation will analyze the report of Dušan Bajević and start solving another selector's crossword puzzle.

- Duško came here to help, and now they are accusing him of something. What can he do here alone, can he or someone else change all that? I am sorry that he is in this situation now, because I know that he came with good intentions. I will not go into a deeper analysis now, but the fact is that we had an extraordinary opportunity to do something against Northern Ireland, that is to qualify for the big competition. 

Reason for happiness 

Halilhodžić feels very bad that our national team did not qualify for the European Championship, as he says, especially because of all Bosnians and Herzegovinians living in homeland.

Our people have suffered so much ... They love football, and I wish they had at least a little reason to celebrate, especially because of those enemies and fascists, who want to ruin it all with everything they have. I am very sorry that our national team did not show them that we will all continue to play successfully together. Now comes the new president of Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation, and to be honest I don't now anything about him. Therefore, I cannot give my judgments about all this. I heard various stories abotu how much politics there is in all this. I have already told you once, if I have to choose players by their names, then this is not for a man who has a different opinion about all of that - says Halilhodžić.
