In the Vraca neighborhood, on Derviša Numića Street, today around 11:00 a.m., a newborn baby was found next to the stairs, and on the spot, the "Avaz's" team found Anila Gajević, director of casting and talent agency Zona, who lives nearby.

Fortunately, the baby was found alive and was placed in the Pediatric Clinic of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and the police are still investigating to find out who left the child.

Who could leave a helpless baby in such a place

Anila Gajević told us that everyone in the neighborhood was shocked by this information that someone could have left a helpless baby in such a place.

- I live in the building next to where this incident happened. To me, this is an incredible case of a baby being left like that... This is a very inhumane and inexplicable act. All this is shocking to me. Someone had to see something, it's completely unbelievable that there are still such unscrupulous people, mothers to be exact. The only thing I can say is that this is a picture of society, and who knows what situation that mother or the baby's family found themselves in - Gajević told the "Avaz's" portal.

She pointed out that she was at work, so she neither heard nor saw anything, but that she hopes that soon it will be revealed who is behind this inhumane act.

Help for an abandoned child

As she added, she feels the need to help that abandoned child.

- Out of my good will and out of an act of human reason, I would like to take care of that child, help the baby somehow. If one child is unwanted, and there are other people who could care for baby, why not - said Gajević.

The prosecutor of the SC Cantonal Prosecutor's Office was informed about the case, who ordered that after the investigation, all necessary measures and actions be taken to find the parents or the person who left the child.
