This morning, the Service for Foreigners Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina undertook operational activities aimed at controlling the movement and stay of migrants in the area of the city of Bihać and relocating migrants from the Krajina Metal facility to the temporary reception center Lipa.
The inspectors of the Service for Foreigners Affairs, with the assistance of the Ministry of the Interior of the USC, inspected the facility where they found 253 migrants, mostly citizens of Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Migrants were transferred from the abandoned facility to the temporary reception center Lipa, where their medical examination, identification and registration are underway, as well as accommodation in the preventive isolation part of the temporary reception center.
The activity is a continuation of continuous operational activities of the Service for Foreigners Affairs on the relocation of migrants from abandoned facilities to temporary reception centers in order to better manage migration processes, in coordination with local authorities in the Una-Sana Canton.
