Head of the EU’s Banja Luka Office, Stefano Donati, handed over today 75,700 protective gloves to the Cantonal Hospital “Dr Irfan Ljubijankić” in Bihać, as part of the European Union’s support to medical institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina in response to the COVID-19.
The total value of the EU assistance delivered to the medical institutions of the Una-Sana Canton in response to the COVID-19 so far is close to 800,000 KM.
Delivery of the EU support continues throughout the country in order to ensure safety of medical workers and first responders, and this week a total of 1,000,000 protective gloves valued KM 142,000 will be provided to the medical institutions in Banja Luka, Bihać, Brčko District, Doboj, Goražde, Grude, Livno, Mostar, Orašje, Travnik, Tuzla and Zenica, UNDP announced.
The personal protective supplies are part of the overall EU assistance to B&H to fight COVID in the amount of EUR 7 million which is procured by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
