The Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colonel General Senad Mašović, received yesterday EUFOR Commander in B&H Major General Alexander Platzer in an inaugural visit, and welcomed him stressing the fact that the presence of EUFOR in Bosnia and Herzegovina maintains unreserved support for Bosnia and Herzegovina's Euro-Atlantic integration process and contributes to the country's stability.

He also pointed out the importance of EUFOR's continued support to the B&H Armed Forces in the process of further defense reform activities and the execution of the legally defined mission and tasks, joint training plan and exercises, and building and strengthening operational capabilities and training capacities in the B&H Armed Forces.

General Platzer thanked for the reception and pointed out that EUFOR will continue to provide support to the Armed Forces of B&H in carrying out the tasks prescribed by the Law on Defense and in strengthening security.

He expressed hope for the continuation of successful cooperation and realization of joint activities that are of mutual importance for the Armed Forces of B&H and EUFOR.

As stated by General Platzer, the role and importance of the AF B&H are recognized in the EU format, and it is necessary to find new opportunities to strengthen the capacity of the AF B&H, in order to better carry out its mission and provide assistance to the state and all its citizens, announced the Press Service of the Ministry of Defense of B&H.
