In the last 24 hours in B&H, 216 are newly infected with coronavirus,while 52 deaths were reported. Of that number, another 57 new corona cases were reported in Republic of Srpska while 22 people died. There are 157 newly infected and 29 deceased in the FB&H. Two new cases of the infection and one death were reported in the Brčko District.
1,483 samples were reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of B&H, of which 157 were positive for the virus. New cases have been registered in all cantons in the Federation of B&H, except Canton 10.
A total of 322,723 samples have been tested so far, and the virus has been confirmed in 68,567 cases. In the past 24 hours, 29 new deaths were reported to the Public Health Institute of the Federation of B&H.
As of today, the total number of deaths in the Federation of B&H is 2002.
In Republic of Srpska, 57 new infections and 22 deaths were reistered. Since the last report on the epidemiological situation in Republic of Srpska, 296 laboratory samples have been tested, and the virus has been confirmed in 57 cases.
In the last 24 hours, 22 deaths have been reported to the Republic of Srpska Institute of Public Health. So far, 35,190 cases of the virus have been confirmed in RS, and a total of 1,588 people have died who tested positive for coronavirs.
In the last 24 hours, two new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in the Brčko District, and seven people were tested. One male person died.
University Clinical Hospital Mostar: 19 deaths over the weekend, in Herzegovina – Neretva Canton 196 newly infected
During the weekend, 19 people died at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases of the University Clinical Hospital Mostar.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 1,242 samples were tested at the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics of UCH Mostar. In the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, there were 196 newly positive: 150 from Mostar, 9 from Jablanica, 7 from Prozor-Rama, 10 from Konjic, 4 from Čapljina, 3 from Čitluk, 11 from Stolac and 2 from Neum.
There are currently 99 patients in hospital treatment, of which 11 are on invasive and 5 on non-invasive mechanical ventilation, and the rest are clinically stable. 38 patients were hospitalized and 36 were discharged.
Cantonal and municipal sanitary inspectors have issued a total of 20,501 decisions on self-isolation and isolation, and 4,188 decisions are in force.
In Sarajevo Canton another 64 people tested positive for coronavirus
In the past 24 hours, 412 samples were processed in Sarajevo Canton, of which 64 were positive for coronavirus.
A member of the Crisis Staff of Sarajevo Canton, Kemal Beganović, said at today's press conference ic about the epidemiological situation, that the samples were collected in the period from December 18th to 20th.
- In the past 24 hours, the number of recovered is still higher than the number of newly infected and it is 104. Unfortunately, four deaths were reported in the past 24 hours - said Beganović.
According to him, 242 patients are currently hospitalized, 182 of them at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, including all clinics and the Podhrastovi isolation ward.
- At the Clinical Center, there are six patients on a respirator, and 32 patients on non-invasive ventilation. At the General Hospital Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš Sarajevo 60 patients are hospitalized. In the past 24 hours, 18 patients were discharged - stated Beganović.
So far, a total of 23,255 infected, 21,037 cured have been recorded in Sarajevo Canton, and 1,868 are currently active in the treatment process. To date, 350 deaths have been reported.
Comparing the data from a month ago, on November 21st, Beganović said that at that time, 384 was the number of newly infected and 4,937 active cases, compared to the current 1,868 active cases and 64 newly infected persons.
There are 26 more newly infected people in Una-Sana Canton
In the Una-Sana Canton, in the last 24 hours, the corona virus was confired in 26 people out of 210 tested.
Eight people from Bihać are infected, six from Sanski Most, four each from Bosanski Petrovac and Bosanska Krupa, and two each from Cazin and Velika Kladuša.
There are currently 268 active cases in this canton, according to the cantonal Institute of Public Health. 47 patients are hospitalized in the Cantonal Hospital, and four use respirator.
